2015 FAMS Track Team
FAMS 2015 Track Team
Please join me in congratulating your FAIRFIELD MIDDLE SCHOOL TRACK COMPETITORS who participated in the New Oxford Colonial Invitational this Saturday. Your team continued to break records just as they have all season. They took more places in this one meet than the team has in ALL the years combined! They earned more points in this one meet than in our regular competitions. We ended a glorious day with Joey Quealy in 6th place boys hurdles with a record time of 17 seconds flat, Makayley Swam in 5th place girls long jump with leap of 13 feet 9 inches, Charlie Burnett in 3rd place boys long jump with a RECORD jump of 17 feet 5 inches, Lexi Ogle in 3rd place girls shot with a toss of 32 feet 2 and a half inches, and for the first time ever, FAIRFIELD was in the TOP SPOT standing tall in 1st place boys shot with Travis Zimmerman putting the shot out at a RECORD 42 feet and 3 inches! An amazing day was had by all with a record breaking 4 by 100 run by the team of Lexi Ogle, Makaley Swam, Lucy Rogers and Jocelyn Megee stepping in for the first time with an overall time of 58.8 seconds! Makinna Wolf broke her mile time earning 7 min 49 seconds and Lucy rogers dropped her hurdles by coming in at 19. 4 seconds. Continuing to chisels time off her 800 run, Makinna dropped almost 15 seconds off clearing 3 min 33 seconds. Joey Quealy continued to improve his long jump over a foot more landing at 16 feet 1 inch and broke the school record for the 400 coming in at a minute flat as Noah Hazlett continued in 2nd place for our records with 1 min 2 seconds. Big thanks go out to Autumn Kendal for keeping records on the exciting day and everyone else who particpated and enjoyed themselves. A very special thanks to Greg Gipe who challenged himself by joining the team of Quealy, Burnett and Hazlett to run the 4 by 400 relay!
