    Superintendent Search

    DISCUSSIONS WITH CANDIDATES  

    The search for the next superintendent of Fairfield has moved through two interview phases.  The Board has had the opportunity to interview a series of candidates.  At this point, the Board would like district stakeholders to meet with four candidates in separate sessions.  Below is the date and time for the sessions, and we encourage all community members to attend.      

    Date: September 14, 2018

    Time: 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

    Location: TBD

    Our search consultant, Tom Templeton, will be coordinating the sessions. Mr. Templeton will be asking for your impressions of each candidate at the conclusion of the discussions.

    Mr. Templeton has conducted many stakeholder discussions with candidates, and is skilled at presenting the information to the Board with professionalism, and in a manner that respects everyone’s involvement. 

    There is no need to RSVP, just attend and participate!  Thank you for continuing to support the students of Fairfield and we will be providing additional information before the day of the event.  The candidates will be introduced on the day of the event.  We value your involvement.   

    THE FAIRFIELD AREA BOARD OF SCHOOL DIRECTORS

    The Fairfield Area Board of School Directors is currently conducting a search for our district’s next superintendent.  We have contracted with Tom Templeton, Founder of TEMPLETONAdvantage, to partner with us in conducting the search.  At this point, we have asked our Mr. Templeton to advertise and promote the position, as well as recruit candidates. 

     

    We have also met with Mr. Templeton to discuss the various challenges, issues and needs facing Fairfield along with the strengths of the district.  From there, we outlined a series of strategic competencies and leadership experiences needed for the next superintendent to successfully lead Fairfield into the future. 

     

    The process will also include opportunities for other stakeholder groups to share their opinions.  In fact, we’d ask that you take a few moments to complete the SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH SURVEY.  We value your comments, and will certainly take the results of the surveys under appropriate consideration as we move through the search process and eventually develop goals and objectives for the next superintendent.  More details to follow in the very near future!
