    • receive referrals for long-term support
    • by collaborating with families/teachers/ administrators/community for student success
    • by advocating for students at individual education plan meetings and other student-focused meetings
    • by analyzing data to identify student issues, needs, and challenges

    Student Assistance Program - SAP (Middle School & High School)

     The Pennsylvania Student Assistance Program (SAP) is a systematic team process used to mobilize school resources to remove barriers to learning. SAP is designed to assist in identifying issues including mental health and/or drugs and alcohol issues which pose a barrier to a student’s success. The primary goal of the Student Assistance Program is to help students overcome these barriers so that they may achieve, advance, and remain in school. At the middle school level parent permission is required. At the high school level both parent and student permission are required.

    Parents can refer their child

    • Students can refer each other
    • Teachers can refer students
    • Helps students overcome barriers to academic success and/or emotional well being
    • Counseling service, not a therapy service
    • Students are seen individually not as a group
    • Confidential program in partnership with TrueNorth Wellness
    • Free and appointments are during the school day

     School Based Therapy - TrueNorth Wellness

    School-Based Therapy Services offer students an opportunity to meet with a therapist on an outpatient basis during the school day on a weekly/biweekly basis. Parent permission is required. Subject to insurance approval.
