It is Fastnacht Day and We're cutting the Ties!

One of the most exciting Fastnacht traditions is the famous “cutting of the ties.” Traditionally on Fat Thursday in Germany, women symbolically take over town halls and celebrations by cutting off the ties worn by men — a playful way of turning the tables for the day!  Click here to see more pictures of the "cutting of the ties".
