• Our middle school students placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in Soils and 1st place in Forestry at the 2022-2023 Envirothon. The Envirothon is a natural resource environmental education program that combines classroom learning and outdoor activities. This exposure to nature and seeing how humans impact the natural world provide invaluable lessons for understanding ecosystems and our environment.  At the Envirothon, the teams compete in field testing using their knowledge in four topic areas: Soils, Wildlife, Aquatics, and Forestry. At each station, the students were given a short lesson from an expert and then took an exam as a team. Afterwards, the students enjoyed a presentation from Zoo America. The students competed at Adams County Conservation District, which also hosted the event.  Multiple schools in the surrounding area were also in attendance.
