Proposed Budget Summary
2022-2023The Fairfield Area School District’s 2022-2023 adjusted Act 1 Base Index is 4.0%, as
determined by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE). Based on the adjusted Index,
the district could increase millage from 11.1305 to 11.5757. However, we are pleased to report
that the 2022-2023 proposed budget does not include a millage increase. Fairfield Area’s
millage will remain at 11.1305, which is currently the second lowest millage rate in Adams
County.
The proposed budget is comprised of $19,836,526 in total revenues and $19,647,571 in total
expenditures, projecting a budget surplus of $188,955.
The proposed budget is not finalized until adopted by the Board of School Directors. The Board
will consider approving the proposed budget on May 23, 2022, with final adoption anticipated on
June 27, 2022.
