rules

These rules are explicitly taught in the beginning of the school year.

    • Cooperate with adults and classmates
      • Following teacher's directions
      • Following classroom quiet signals
      • Being an active participant during partner or group work
    • Respect the rights and property of others
      • Respect classmates' rights to learn in a safe, non-threatening environment
      • Using classroom materials properly and keeping them in good condition
      • Asking before borrowing another classmate's supplies
      • Returning borrowed supplies in good condition
    • Carry out all student responsibilities
      • Following all established routines and procedures for classroom, bathroom, hallway, and cafeteria
      • Completing class work
      • Completing homework by the established deadline

     

     

    "Play Ball" Behavior Plan

     

    Play Ball-  Students begin class each day with their clips on the Play Ball spot on our classroom behavior display.

    Strike 1-  Verbal warning and reminder of appropriate behavior-  student moves clip on the behavior chart

    Strike 2-  2nd warning and reminder of appropriate behavior- student moves clip on the behavior chart

    Strike 3-  Consequence- student moves clip on the behavior chart

     

    Consequences may consist of one of the following options selected by the teacher:

    • Seat change
    • Verbal or written apology
    • Completion of a behavior improvement form during recess
    • Work completion during recess
    • Phone call or email home
    • Conference
    • Lunch detention
    • Office referral
