
These rules are explicitly taught in the beginning of the school year.

- Following teacher's directions
- Following classroom quiet signals
- Being an active participant during partner or group work
- Respect the rights and property of others
- Respect classmates' rights to learn in a safe, non-threatening environment
- Using classroom materials properly and keeping them in good condition
- Asking before borrowing another classmate's supplies
- Returning borrowed supplies in good condition
- Carry out all student responsibilities
- Following all established routines and procedures for classroom, bathroom, hallway, and cafeteria
- Completing class work
- Completing homework by the established deadline
"Play Ball" Behavior Plan
Play Ball- Students begin class each day with their clips on the Play Ball spot on our classroom behavior display.
Strike 1- Verbal warning and reminder of appropriate behavior- student moves clip on the behavior chart
Strike 2- 2nd warning and reminder of appropriate behavior- student moves clip on the behavior chart
Strike 3- Consequence- student moves clip on the behavior chart
Consequences may consist of one of the following options selected by the teacher:
- Seat change
- Verbal or written apology
- Completion of a behavior improvement form during recess
- Work completion during recess
- Phone call or email home
- Conference
- Lunch detention
- Office referral
- Cooperate with adults and classmates
