Coaches Procedures (as defined in the Head Coaches Handbook):
Coaches must direct that the appropriate first aid should be administered to any injured athlete.  A head coach or his/her appointee will concentrate on an injured player until it is determined that the player is out of danger or another person in authority takes responsibility.  If a trainer is available, he/she should be notified immediately of the injury.  A complete report of the injury must be filed by the coach within 24 hours of the incident.

    Concussions:

A concussion is a brain injury caused by a bump or blow to the head that can change the way your brain normally works. Even what seems to be a mild bump or blow to the head can be serious. Our school, along with the PIAA have emphasized the importance of concussion awareness to all coaches and parents.  We require all student-athletes to take the Impact Tests to help us diagnose concussions and the healing process of the brain.   Below you will find some helpful websites about concussions.

    ImPACT Baseline Testing
    (required for all 7th, 9th & 11th grade athletes):
Each athlete may now take his/her concussion testing on any computer on the internet. However, the computer should not be on a wireless connection, and it must have a mouse for the testing to be accurate. The athlete should be in a quiet and non-distracting setting. To complete the testing:
